Staff is always very nice and the selection is amazing, especially in the bulk section. Prices are great, though late in the evening the produce doesn't look so hot, so I docked them a star. Worth driving out for every week for the savings though.

I haven't worked for WinCo but I have worked for other grocery chains and unless the health regulations have changed they should. It is a health regulation that any employee that works at an establishment that sells fresh or prepares/prepared food that those employees have food handlers permit. Not just the people in the deli or produce or meat department. Cashiers handle everything they ring up and have to have one as well as all the fresh departments so it's easier to make sure everyone has one because you never know when you'll have to grab a roll or a steak. I could be wrong but I would be very concerned if I was
